With over 30 years of experience, Secure Care is a global leader in the design, manufacture, distribution, and service of specialty electronic products to provide security solutions in the healthcare setting. Our products provide essential protection for loved ones across the life-spectrum from our infant security to our wandering resident solutions. Our solutions are utilized in healthcare focused environments from hospitals and nurseries to long term care facilities, assisted living communities, sub-acute facilities, and even private homes. Secure Care takes great pride in our reputation for providing exceptional service and support to our customers. We strive to provide the highest quality products to achieve the safest environment for patients and residents and to instill peace of mind in their caregivers and family members.

Company History

“Secure Care Systems” was founded in 1979 and consisted of six employees within 1,800 square feet of space. The company’s first electronic security solution was a rubber floor mat antenna placed at facility exit doors. All design and manufacturing of the products were conducted off site.


The company was acquired by its current ownership in 1988. The current owners have been providing health care services since 1946. From their experience owning and operating long term care facilities, they witnessed a need for better security for their dementia patients without infringing upon their mobility. Their concept of restraint-free wandering resident supervision was realized with the creation of Secure Care, the first company in the world to design and market electronic monitoring equipment for wandering residents.

Secure Care Today and Tomorrow

Today, Secure Care owns and operates a 25,000 square foot facility that houses administrative offices, manufacturing, engineering/research and development, as well as warehousing.  We have a certified distribution network throughout the United States and in several countries across the globe. Secure Care’s customer base has dramatically increased both domestically and internationally.  We design and manufacture a complete line of radio frequency based electronic security solutions to assist healthcare facilities in minimizing risk to patients/residents, staff, and assets.

Secure Care prides itself on its reputation for quality customer service. We are the only company in the industry that has factory-authorized and factory-trained/certified distributors throughout the United States and several countries worldwide. We are ISO 9001 certified, allowing us to control the quality of the product as well as offer the highest level of professional sales and service in the industry.

 
Our distributors act as security consultants to our several thousand customers. Typically, the company’s distributors have both health care and electronic backgrounds and must attend corporate training throughout the year. Our distributors present the products and assess the facility with staff to determine which type of system would best meet the client’s needs.  Secure Care offers solutions to fit any budget. A system can be custom-built to fit the customers’ needs today, while allowing them to expand tomorrow.
