“Secure Care Systems” was
founded in 1979 and then acquired by its current ownership
in 1988. The current owners have been providing health care
services since 1946. Their nursing home owner/operators’
concept of restraint free wandering resident supervision
became reality with the start of Secure Care Products®, Inc.
the first company to design and market electronic monitoring
equipment for wandering residents.
Prior to 1988, “Secure Care
Systems” consisted of six employees within 1,800 square feet
of space. All design and manufacturing were done off site.
Today, Secure Care Products employs seventy people,
occupies 25,000 square feet that houses administrative
offices, manufacturing, engineering/research and development
as well as warehouse facilities.
Secure Care Products, Inc.
has a distribution network that covers the fifty United
States, nine provinces of Canada, Australia, Bermuda, South
Africa and some of the European countries. The original 129
customer base has expanded to over 6,000 installations
world-wide.
Today, Secure Care
Products, Inc. designs and manufactures a complete line of
radio frequency based electronic security systems to assist
health care facilities in the management of wandering
dementia residents. We provide hospital nursery security
systems to assist in the prevention of infant abduction and
mother baby mix-up and access control products to all
industries. Our product lines have recently expanded to
include assisted living communities and residential home
